This a wonderful post. Your black and white photos of these musicians are amazing. I love Jazz and listen to it often. I am familiar with the artists here, especially Thelonious Monk, Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker and Lionel Hampton. All gifted musicians and so many gone now. Thank you so much for this.

This is quite a different post for you, Sriram! I just love the way you portrayed these musicians and I really felt the “soul” of the emotion behind these pictures. Music and rhythm is so part of our Essence yet it is very sad that so many people have forgotten. Your post and all the quotes really moved my heart. Thank you! 💖🌸💗

Jazz is not my favourite genre of music, however, your photos take me back to a visit in New Orleans and I’m reminded of how much I loved Jazz when hearing it played live.
