Gold…

“If gold has been prized because it is the most inert element,

changeless and incorruptible, water is prized for the

opposite reason — its fluidity, mobility, changeability that make it a necessity and a metaphor for life itself.

To value gold over water is to

value economy over ecology, that which

can be locked up over that which connects all things.”

  7. How fabulous are your wonderful pictures Sriram.. Water to me is GOLD.. far more precious.. We can not Drink Gold.. without Water Life on this planet would not exist.. A wonderful Quote you have found too my friend.. Reminding me of the Native American Indians with their wisdom who said

“Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we can’t eat money”

    “Native American Proverb”

Blessings your way… And long may we preserve our rivers and oceans, For they are Liquid Gold..

  13. Sriram, I found myself proclaiming; oh, oh, oh with easy successive image. Truly beautiful, indeed.
And yes, I appreciate your quote. Oh, that the heart and mind become one, where all things are seen for their value.

  14. Sriram, these pictures took my breathe away. It’s so sad when we value the wrong things–we devalue our lives and the planet when we do so. I love the quote too.
